Service Sanitation is a portable sanitation company headquartered out of Gary, Indiana and stationed across the Midwest, providing products such as portable restrooms and restroom trailers to thousands of locations and events across Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. During my time as Graphic Designer, I created social media content which generated large spikes in engagement, revamped existing company branding with elevated and versatile collateral, and designed new methods of product exploration for customers.
LOGO DESIGN
"Meet the Players" is the company's onboarding program intended for both labor and office employees, meant to introduce new hires to the company's history, culture, and the specifics of their respective roles. I was tasked with updating the program's logo as the company was heading into their busy season for 2025.
The original logo lacked the use of brand colors, scaleability, and a consistent look due to the mix of flat and 3D graphics, featuring a design reminiscent of older company collateral. For the updated logo, I decided to go for an entirely flat appearance to better reflect the design of the company's current branding. The new design also utilized the primary colors of the brand and reintroduced the flat employee silhouettes as a callback to the original logo.
I also designed a secondary one-color logo which can be used in a variety of different mediums and sizes.
SOCIAL MEDIA DESIGN
During my time at Service Sanitation, I shifted the company's approach to their social media content with a new direction that utilized satirical and humorous posts showcasing the work we do, the labor employees that make the work possible, and the various events that we service. For our biggest platform, Facebook, we saw engagement increases up to 7,000% for individual posts compared to average impressions in 2024, and overall engagement up by 156% as of September 2025..
This satirical packaging design for National Ice Cream Day, created with Photoshop, currently sits at 4,100 reactions, 240 comments, and 1,300 shares as of September 2025 (a 7,214% increase), with an encompassing blog post leading users to a catalog of our restroom products.
To correlate with the opening weekend of our client, Arc Music Festival, I collaborated with my Marketing Director to film a satirical DJ set with fake porta potty-styled speakers. As of September 2025, this post sits at 2,100 reactions, 54 comments, and 284 shares (a 3,060% increase). The speaker motion tracking and color correction was completed in After Effects, while the final cut was composed in Premiere Pro.
3D TRAILER RENDERS
In an effort to increase interactivity for our product pages, I utilized Blender to create detailed 3D renderings for the interiors of our restroom trailers, allowing our customers to better explore our diverse selection of trailer models before purchasing.
I also utilized Wordpress to update our trailer product pages with a new design, replacing our 2D floor plan with an image slider of our trailer renderings at various angles alongside links to a product tour video and product information brochure containing the floor plan.

PHOTO EDITING
As another initiative to improve our product pages, I used Photoshop to create updated hero images displaying real photos of our portable restrooms edited into environments where they are often found, replacing our previous hero images to provide customers with a more accurate and high-quality depiction of our products.
